Raymond L. Higgins


Mr. Higgins is a founder and Chief Executive Officer of Higgins Capital. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a Surface Warfare Officer. In 1984 Mr. Higgins began his career in finance at Merrill Lynch. 

He rose to Vice President and distinguished himself as the co-creator of the San Diego Institutional Group. In 1992 he moved to Lehman Brothers where he was a founder of the La Jolla Regional Institutional Group and was a member of the Shearson-Lehman, Citigroup merger team.

Ray co-founded Higgins Capital in 1995. The mission of Higgins Capital is to provide the highest level of professionalism and objective advice to institutions and high net worth individuals. As an independent broker dealer and registered investment advisor the firm puts the client's best long term interest first. There are no competing agendas. Ray brings three decades of experience trading equities.

Ray is a Registered Investment Advisor. He has served on the Board of the California Municipal Treasurer's Association (CMTA) and as a member of the Investment Policy Committee for the Municipal Treasurers Association of the United States and Canada. Ray has served on the Budget Committee of the National Association of Independent Broker Dealers. Ray's approach is client-focused using institutional processes, platforms and discipline.

He served as the Treasurer for the La Jolla Shores Association and is a member of Rotary Club 33. Ray has been a member of the San Diego Yacht Club for over 20 years.
